This is a really special opportunity to learn from - and to watch - a master at work!

Professional Artist and Tutor Aaron is well-known on the London life drawing scene and a talent in demand! He’s a regular tutor at London Drawing, where his Figurative Watercolour course sells out every time. We’re very excited to have him lead this special workshop for us!

If you’ve been lucky enough to attend a life drawing event with Aaron IRL, you’ll know how it feels to peer over his shoulder and gasp in awe at his creations! This is a unique chance to see how he does it, and to pick up some tips to help you work those watercolours with confidence!

What you’ll learn:

Over the course of this 2.5 hour session you’ll learn how to work at speed with watercolour to create expressive portraits full of energy and character.

• Learn more about Aaron’s work and experience as a live illustrator

• Experiment with different techniques and complete a series of guided exercises

• Watch Aaron create a portrait from start to finish (via his amazing tech set-up!)

• Put it all into practice in the second half of the session, when you’ll be painting (10 minute) portraits of some of your classmates. (We’ll be asking for volunteers to pose so please make yourself known if you’d like to be one of them!)
  

What you’ll need:

• A set of watercolours

• A number 8, 10 or 12 round brush (not too small)

• A black waterproof fineliner / felt tip / fine marker pen or fountain pen / dip pen and ink

• 6+ pieces of A4 watercolour paper

• 2 containers of water

• Kitchen towel/rag/loo roll

Suitable for all levels - ideal for beginners! Ages 16+
