we’re ALIVE!

on Sunday 11th July, we headed to sunny spitalfields for ‘Sketch The Rainbow - LIve!’ - our first IRL event since March 2020!

Part of the Mayor of London’s Festival of Ideas, this special sketchup was a chance for the Sketch Appeal community to re-connect and share in an afternoon of colourful creative fun! It was also a chance for them to meet and draw Colour Queen Sue Kreitzman, who joined us as guest muse - along with her fabulous friends Florent Bidois, Anne-Sophie Cochevelou and Natalie Webb.

After months of sketching together on Zoom, it was wonderful to lots of Sketchy Bitches meet face-to-face for the first time since March 2020 - and in many cases, for the first time ever! It’s safe to say there was plenty of yelping and elbow hugging - definitely no-one on mute! It was so ace to hear everyone chatting and laughing away as they drew - and to peek over shoulders at portraits in the making.

In case you’re wondering, our sketchy biscuits were made by Honeywell Biscuit Co. - and they are every bit as scrummy as they look!
